History of TMC

Tamil Mission Chaplaincy (TMC) for Tamil Diaspora  was initially set up in 2009, as a joint partnership with London City Mission, South Asian Concern & The Diocese of Chelmsford, on behalf of Church of England (Anglican Church) UK mission and ministry among the Tamils in UK and beyond, to reach out to the Tamils with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This ministry was licensed by the former Bishop of Barking Episcopal Area, Rt Revd David JL Hawkins. Revd John-Princely Croos was appointed as the Chaplain for this ministry. TMC has now extended its ministries in London, Southwark (UK) and in Paris, France (Diocese of Europe)

TMC offers  pastoral care and support. It also engages with social and political welfares of the Tamils, particularly with the Tamil Diaspora in UK & globally.

Our statement of Faith is based on The Apostles' Creed

We believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic (universal) Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen
